Drone photography and videography in Chattanooga is in demand.

Whether you’re a real estate agent looking for someone to get aerial shots of the home you’re selling (or fly-in footage), a wedding photographer needing a second shooter who has drone experience, or someone with an artistic eye - we have such a great pool of talent here in Chattanooga that deserves a spotlight! Consider this your mini-guide.

I thought this would be helpful to so many of us around the area because it’s actually quite hard to pin down drone photographers. It’s more of a if you know, you know kind of thing.

Let me know what you think of this write up :)

Specialties: Real Estate, Weddings, Events

I met Matt a few years ago & have worked on many projects with him ever since. I met him right after he decided to quit his steady, well-paying-but-miserable job as a jet mechanic (yep, you read that right) to leap into photography full-time.

Matt is a super talented, well-rounded photographer and videographer that has tried just about every kind of photography in the last few years.

I did a mini-interview with Matt to get to help the community get to know him a bit more.

“Regarding drone photography and videography, I've used it for just about every genre that I've used my camera on the ground for. Weddings, real estate, construction, tourism, hotels, etc. I always try to incorporate it if I feel like an aerial perspective will help tell the story of a project. A lot of clients request it regardless of whether I intended to use it or not. It's a fantastic tool to have.

I started with a phone, and then a GoPro, and then finally got a DSLR in 2017. Shoutout to the Canon 80D bundle at Costco.”

Specialties: Real Estate & Airbnb Photography

I connected with Kaylee through social media and knew right off the bat that I needed her in this feature. Not only is it hard to find a drone photographer in general, but a girl kicking *ss at it? Amazing.

Based in Cleveland, Kaylee is extremely talented at capturing homes, short term rentals, and aerial shots for her clients and has been building her company for a few years now.

HACK OF THE MONTH 🤓 : Invest in your gear at a discounted price!
Not sponsored! Just a tried-and-true fan of MPB here. If you’re looking to upgrade your gear or invest in yourself (because you deserve it!!) then I just want to recommend to check out MPB.com before you buy anything brand new. Fun Fact: 80% of my gear has been purchased used and I’ve never had any issues!

If you don’t want to break the bank, see what they have on their site first. You have a week or so to try out your gear and return if you changed your mind, plus they have a 6-month warranty on all of their purchases. They do their due diligence when it comes to vetting the gear that gets traded in and it’s worth exploring. Their shipping is usually really fast and their customer service is great too in my experience! :)

Thank you for reading my newsletter! I’d love to connect via email ([email protected]) or social media to get to know you & get feedback about this project as well. Until the next one!
